Dean wants to remind people to be aware of icicles around campus especially on the theme houses, building entrances and exits; please call Facilities Operations at (315) 229-5601 for concerns.

Old Business:

Dean shared the AED map; we have doubled our inventory of AEDs from 16 to 32 making them more accessible to the campus community. New York State requires public notification of AED locations.

The AED compartments in Griffiths/Noble, Eben Holden, Leithead Fieldhouse and Appleton Arena also have pediatric pads for children up to eight years of age and/or up to 55 pounds.

There are also 2 doses of Narcan in each AED compartment.

You must be certified to use the AEDs; this certification training includes CPR and Narcan. If you are interested in being certified, please contact Susan Johnson scjohnson@stlawu.edu to sign up.

Alana reported that the application has been submitted for St. Lawrence to become a HEARTSafe campus.

Karl Spieker had concerns regarding locks on classrooms. Bob Hance will figure out recommendations by the next meeting.  We have a classroom lock specified that we believe will work well to provide protection in the classrooms.  Bob and Jim will be meeting with Alison & Pat to identify some classroom spaces to install them and move toward a recommended plan moving forward and to seek out funding for the project.
