Transfer a Call (NEC and Polycom)

Overview

There are two types of phones provided:

  • NEC
  • Polycom

A user should check which type they have before moving to the next step.

For NEC Phones

  1. During a received call, press Transfer
  2. Enter the four digit extension of the party desired to transfer the call to
  3. Either hang up, or let the party know that a call is being transferred to them and then hang up

For Polycom Phones

Direct Transfer

  1. During a received call, press the Menu key below the phone display
  2. Use the arrows to navigate to Transfer directly to...
  3. Either select a contact or enter the four digit extension of the party desired to transfer the call to, then press the button between the arrows
  4. Hang up to complete the transfer

Consult Before Transfer

  1. During a received call, press the Menu key below the phone display
  2. Use the arrows to navigate to Consult then transfer to...
  3. Either select a contact, or enter the four digit extension of the party desired to transfer the call to, then press Consult
  4. After consulting, press Transfer then hang up
