Polycom Calling Tutorial

Overview

This article outlines information on making and receiving calls with Polycom Lync integrated phones.

Call with Number Pad

  • Lift handset
  • Dial the number
    • Dial the 4 digit extension for on-campus calls.
    • Dial the 10 digit number for off-campus calls.

Call with Contacts

  • Lift handset
  • Using the up/down arrows to the right of the phone display, navigate to Contacts
  • Press the button corresponding to Select under the display to select Contacts
  • Using the up/down arrows to the right of the phone display, navigate to your desired contact
  • Press the button corresponding to Call under the display to call the contact.

Search Contacts

  • Lift handset
  • Using the up/down arrows to the right of the phone display, navigate to Contacts
  • Press the button corresponding to Select under the display to select Contacts
  • Press the numbers on the keypad corresponding to the contact name or the phone extension

    For example, to find ‘Tony Smith,’ begin pressing 8669*76484, where ‘*’ is the space between the first and last name

  • Press the button corresponding to Call under the display to call the contact.
