How to create a shortcut to a website in Windows

  1. Navigate to the website for which you would like to make a shortcut.
  2. In the address bar at the top, copy the URL (or link) of the website.
  3. On your desktop, right click on an empty space.
  4. Click New.
  5. Click Shortcut.
  6. In the space labeled "Type the location of the item", paste the URL of the desired website.
  7. Click Next.
  8. Enter a name for the shortcut that will help you remember where it leads.
  9. Click Finish.
