Saint to Saint Women's Summit! ❤️🤎We’re still feeling inspired as we reflect on the Saint to Saint Women's Summit presented by our Center for Career Excellence and University Advancement. The summit brought together 31 students with alumnae and parents representing a range of professional paths for a day focused on leadership, empowerment, and navigating professional and personal journeys. Keynote speaker and leadership development consultant Kathryn Mayer '82 shared insights from her forthcoming book “The Productive Perfectionist: A Woman’s Guide to Smashing the Shackles of Perfectionism.” Small business owner and doctor of chiropractic Lisa Francey Towle '92 spoke to the group on the importance of wellbeing and self-care. The program also included lots of opportunities for students to network with our amazing alumnae and parents. Special thanks to Mary Pat Suits '83 and Dan Suits '83 who generously funded the Summit. On Monday, our celebration of women continued with presentations by Laurentian-in-Residence Dr. Allison Hill-Edgar P’25. A visual artist and MD, she began her visit with a lecture on menopause in Leah Rohlfsen’s Women’s Health and Aging class, shared dinner and conversation with a small group of students, and delivered a campus-wide lecture to a highly engaged crowd, “Dissecting Gender in Medicine: Reassessing Anatomical Representations of the Female Body.” Read about the summit and more on our official St. Lawrence University Facebook Account. |

This Week's Scarlet and Brown Recap!The riding team had a strong performance when it mattered the most. The team took home two wins over the weekend, claiming their 14th straight Region 2 Championship. Harper Eskey '26 was named High Point Rider collecting a total of three blue ribbons. Aidan Baracao '26 delivered a clutch win in singles to lift the men's tennis team to a victory over Skidmore 5-4 – their first win over the Thoroughbreds since 2009-10. It gave the Scarlet and Brown a 2-1 record for the season. Men's basketball won the Liberty League semifinal Friday 63-48 over RPI to qualify for a second straight conference championship, before falling to Hobart in the final. Despite this, Trey Syroka '24 was named Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year and to the All-Liberty League Second Team. Adam Dudzinski '27 was named to the All-Liberty League First Team. It was a strong start to the year for No. 15 nationally ranked men's lacrosse, who improved to 3-0 by opening their home schedule with two wins, one over SUNY Potsdam 18-5 on Thursday, and a 15-8 win against Western New England on Sunday. Judge Murphy '24 and Paddy Condon '25 both received weekly conference awards for their efforts. Men's hockey skated to a win and a tie over the weekend, first beating Colgate with a thrilling three-goal third-period comeback to take a 4-3 overtime win. Then Cornell came back on the Saints the next night, ultimately leading to a 2-2 tie and a shootout loss. Alli Sibold '26 broke a facility record at the "Liberty League Championship" Sunday at the event hosted by St. Lawrence University. Alli ranked with a time of 4:55.07, then also registered a new personal best in the 800m and was named Co-Outstanding Track Athlete and Liberty League Co-Performer of the Week. |

On June 19, President Morris informed the Laurentian community about the passing of Professor Emeritus of Education Peter Ladd. A dedicated scholar who devoted nearly five decades to teaching in the University's graduate and undergraduate education programs, Ladd was a prolific and accomplished author who also enjoyed sailing, writing poetry, and spending summers at his cottage in the Thousand Islands.
