St. Lawrence University Creates New Pathway to Medical Education at UNE College of Osteopathic MedicineIn their shared efforts to ease health care workforce shortages in underserved communities across the Northeast, St. Lawrence University and the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNE COM) have signed a new articulation agreement that guarantees qualified graduates from St. Lawrence priority consideration for a medical education at Maine’s premier health professions university. |

Three St. Lawrence students attended the annual International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) at RPISponsored by IBM, the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) is an annual, multi-tiered competitive programming competition among universities worldwide. The contest commenced at Texas A&M University in 1970 and has since expanded to encompass branches and chapters globally. On Sunday, November 10, 182 teams participated in the East Central and Northeast North America East Division across 12 satellite sites. |

From Victory to VictoryThe Saints had an impressive week in sports, beginning with the women's soccer team winning 3-1 against Plattsburgh College and the men's soccer team securing a 1-0 victory over Clarkson University. At Appleton Arena, the women's hockey team dominated with a 7-2 win against Providence College on Friday and a 2-0 victory on Saturday. Meanwhile, both the men's hockey and men's soccer teams faced Rochester Institute of Technology, resulting in the men's hockey winning 4-3 and men's soccer securing a 1-0 victory. Here We Go, Saints Challenge SuccessThanks to the generosity of the Laurentian community, Saints Athletics more than doubled its goal of 1,000 donors and together with the Laurentian community, raised over $550,000 in support of St. Lawrence student-athletes. |
Top Flights for the Saints, Fall Sports ContinueSaints men's and women's tennis teams dominated the competition this weekend. The tandem of Catherine Gamble '23 and Molly Jespersen '23 won the flight A Championship over Union at the St. Lawrence Invitational while Edvin Strandberg '25 came away with the B flight, and Broderick Pinto '25 won the C flight over Union to lead the men's tennis team at the Dutchmen Invitational. The wins continued with Saints women's rowing opening its season with a first-place win over Mount Holyoke while first-year Matthew Serrano won the Kangaroo Invitational 8k to lead the men's cross country team to the title. The field hockey team secured 1-0 home opener win over Oswego while the volleyball team defeated Medaille College 3-2 after beating Utica 3-2.
