It’s that time again–the Diversity & Inclusion Book Club is ready to launch its Fall 2022 series!

Our first title is a fascinating read by Eli Saslow, Rising Out of Hatred: The Awakening of a Former White Nationalist.

Saslow tells the story of the transformation of white nationalist Derek Black. Black is the son of the founder of the neo Nazi internet forum Stormfront. His godfather is David Duke, former KKK grand wizard. Black was poised to take over in the image of his neo Nazi role models that is, until he enrolled in a small liberal arts college and a handful of classmates grew determined to engage with him honestly and with respect. Over the years, Black was transformed.
