    Weekend of Winning!

    This week, the Saints women’s hockey team started off strong with a 2-1 win over the University of  Ottawa on Tuesday. The Scarlet and Brown later won 5-1 against Mercyhurst in the first of two games over the weekend. Their second match turned into a close game as the Saints were down by three points with only 1 minute and 17 seconds left in the game. Women's hockey scored three goals to tie the game and ultimately won in overtime, 6-5. The men's golf team also prevailed this weekend with a first-place win at the Oswego State Invitational. Sophomore Jimmy King ’26 took home the Liberty League Athletics Performer of the Week award.

    Research Topics That Fascinated Our Summer Fellows

    This summer, our research fellows asked a lot of questions. Like, “What can glacial striations in the North Country tell us about climate change?” Or, “How do you build an enigma machine?” While searching for answers and testing solutions alongside their faculty mentors, they gained hands-on experience and sharpened their skills as scientists and mathematicians.     On Thursday September 28, President Morris sent a message to the community sharing that Pamela Shea died on September 5 at the age of 58. Dedicating 28 years as a building supervisor at St. Lawrence, she took the time to know students through her work. Read the Message.

    St. Lawrence University Celebrates Official Dedication of the George W. Karpus '68 Athletic Center

    Over 250 Laurentians gathered for the dedication of the George W. Karpus ’68 Athletic Center at Appleton Arena on October 26, becoming the first to see St. Lawrence’s 95th building on campus. The building’s namesake and lead donor addressed the crowd, sharing his modest roots and emphasizing the transformative impact of his college experience.

    Employee Booster Requirement

    Senior Staff sent a message to employees on Thursday, January 13, announcing that the University has accepted the Campus Safety Monitoring Committee's recommendation that all employees be required to have a vaccination booster against COVID-19.     Weekly Testing Clinic Time Change

Testing will take place Tuesday, January 19, 12 -1:30 p.m. and Wednesday, January 19, 9 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. in Eben Holden (South Room).     Program Records and Award Nominations for Saints Athletes; Winter Sports Continue

    Saints Women’s Basketball secured a 66-52 win over RPI and Katie Frederick ’21 became the first Saint to record 1,000 career rebounds in a loss to Ithaca on Friday. At the Utica Winter Opener, Women’s Track and Field’s Maia Wahlquist ’25 won the high jump while Men’s Track and Field secured a slew of top 8 performances. On day two of the Colby College Carnival, Ethan Hejna ’22 and Victoria Cubina ’24 posted the top results in their respective slaloms for the Saints Alpine Ski Team.
