Saints Skate to ECAC SweepIt was a great weekend to be a Saint as women's ice hockey dominated the competition during ECAC conference play at Appleton. The Scarlet and Brown skated to a 1-0 win over Union on Saturday after securing a 3-0 win over RPI on Friday. The wins continued with women's swimming and diving dominating Clarkson 135-95, field hockey topping Morrisville 3-0 to conclude its season, Saints football securing a 35-21 win over Rochester, and men's soccer defeating Hobart 1-0 after shutting out Plattsburgh 3-0 earlier in the week. Top Liberty League Times for Men's Track and Field; WInter Sports ContinueDuring the Fasttrack National Invite, Saints men’s track and field’s Timothy Boyce ’25 won the 800 meters, securing the top time in the Liberty League, and one of the top times in the country for a first-year student-athlete, while women’s track and fields’ Alli Sibold ’25, Katherine Sheehy ’23, Emma Palumbo ’25 were the top Division III finishers in their respective events. Over the weekend, women’s basketball defeated RPI 64-59 while women’s ice hockey skated to a 1-1 tie with Brown, and men’s basketball beat Ithaca 80-79 in a close contest. During the Dartmouth College Carnival on Saturday, Tommy Kenosh '23 and Ava Mattsson '22 each won a slalom run for the Saints Alpine ski team, and last week, men’s tennis topped Saint Michael’s College 5-4 at home. Skating Saints Claire Dudley '22 was recently nominated for the 2022 Mandi Schwartz Student-Athlete of the Year award which recognizes leaders on athletic teams, in the classroom, and in the community.
