    Pi Mu Epsilon, the mathematical honor society, inducted 14 new members on October 24, 2022. Pi Mu Epsilon is a non-secret organization whose purpose is the promotion of scholarly activity in mathematics among students in academic institutions and among the staffs of qualified non-academic institutions.

    St. Lawrence University has received a National Science Foundation grant to acquire a new high-performance computer that will allow faculty and students to conduct research in computer science, statistics, biology, chemistry and other disciplines with high-performance computing needs.

  4. Introducing the Bloomberg Finance Lab

    Home to 15 Bloomberg terminals, the Bloomberg Finance Lab is designed to help students connect to global financial markets in real-time. lt allows them to monitor and analyze real-time financial market data like professionals in the financial services sector—giving them a leg up when applying for jobs and internships.

  5. University Renames Building in Honor of Bill and Lynn Fox

    On May 20, the St. Lawrence University Board of Trustees unanimously approved a resolution to rename Madill Hall, now to be known on campus as Fox Hall, also the designated home of the Fox Center for Academic Opportunity. This recognition of President William L. Fox ’75 and Lynn Smith Fox honors their steadfast dedication to generations of students and the entire Laurentian community.
