We are excited to welcome Al Schwartz and Glenn Harris, the first two ENVS faculty members, along with our panelists. The panel will be moderated by Diane White Husic, Executive Director of the Center for the Environment and David Murphy, Professor and Chair of Environmental Studies.

    Community-based Learning will welcome Dr. Julia DeVoy '90, associate dean of undergraduate students and programs in the Lynch School of Education and Human Development at Boston College, for a discussion about the environmental impacts of fast fashion and textile waste.

  3. Solastalgia: An Environmental Arts Workshop with Alissa Cherry

    Sound and Story, a workshop facilitated by Dr. Alissa Cherry. This workshop for students will focus on understanding the difference between hearing and listening. Participants will gain a better understanding of their own soundscapes. Students are encouraged to bring a short personal recording.

  4. Solastalgia: An Environmental Arts Workshop with Dr. Joshua Trey Barnett

    Beyond Hops and Despair: Ecological Feelings at the End of Worlds, a workshop facilitated by Dr. Joshua Trey Barnett. In this workshop, students will explore ecological feelings beyond the cliched hope-despair dichotomy. Together, we will consider how ecological feelings like anger, apathy, care, fear, grief, joy, optimism, and rage influence  our thoughts, judgments, and actions.
