We are excited to announce that the housing and event registration for Commencement weekend is now live!
Follow the link above to register to stay in a residence hall room, park your RV in a designated lot, and/or join graduates, friends, and families at our special events. Residence hall accommodations, RV parking, and some events require payment with a credit card at the time of registration. These charges are not refundable after Friday, May 8.
Commencement weekend events begin the afternoon of Friday, May 15 and conclude on Sunday, May 17 with the Commencement Ceremony and Reception. The Commencement procession will begin promptly at 9:40 a.m. on Sunday morning, with the Commencement Ceremony beginning approximately at 10:00 a.m. in Newell Field House.
Academic Regalia: Seniors must pre-order their caps & gowns by Sunday – March 22 in order to guarantee we have your size in stock. You can place your order on our web site: https://www.brewerbookstore.com/merchandise/graduation-cap-&-gown or in person at the Brewer Bookstore during store hours. Caps & Gowns will be available for pick up during senior week.

Accessibility: The University provides special seating for individuals who require accessibility accommodations. More information for the registration for these individuals and a companion will be sent out on March 23rd.
Accommodations: Rooms in the residence halls and parking spots for RV’s are available on Friday and Saturday night of Commencement Weekend. Housing and RV registration begins on March 23, 2026. A link to the registration site will be sent to parents and students by email and provided on the Commencement website. Payments must be made by credit card.
Announcements: Custom graduation announcements may be purchased through Jostens. A link to their website is forthcoming.
Commencement ceremony: The ceremony is held at Newell Field House. There is no limit on graduates’ invited guests and tickets are not required. The procession will begin promptly at 9:40 a.m. on Sunday morning. The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. and a reception for graduates, families, faculty, and friends will follow.
Dining: The St. Lawrence University Regional Accommodations webpage provides information and links to the Best Western County Seat Restaurant and other area restaurants. Reservations are encouraged. Starting Friday the Northstar Cafe, Jack's, and Starbucks are open in the student center.
Events: Some Commencement events require registration. A link to the registration site will be sent to parents and students by email and be provided on the Commencement website. Event registration begins in mid-March. Payments must be made by credit card. Please consult the Schedule of Events for details.
Photography: Genesee Photo Systems captures the moment each student receives their diploma. Digital proofs will be provided on Genesee’s website soon after the ceremony and can be purchased directly from the firm.
