Brian Angelichio ’95
Brian Angelichio ’95 was recently featured on NFL.com for being named the new offensive coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Angelichio, who was a lineman on the St. Lawrence football team and studied sport & leisure studies, spent the last four seasons as the Minnesota Vikings’ passing game coordinator and tight ends coach.
According to the article, he previously coached under Mike McCarthy, now the Steelers' head coach, and with quarterback Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay from 2016-18, serving as a tight ends coach.
Christopher Fernandez ’15
Christopher Fernandez ’15 was recently featured in a writeup on US Squash for its Black History Month spotlight.
While at St. Lawrence, the article says, Fernandez—who studied performance and communication arts—captained both the baseball and men’s squash teams, leading the latter to a number two national finish.
Fernandez, who is now a squash coach at Columbia University and continues to compete internationally, went on after graduating from St. Lawrence to become Squash Director at CitySquash, then head coach at Dickinson College where he became the youngest head coach in CSA history, and then to head coach at Chatham University.
Sydney Giacin ’21
Sydney Giacin was recently featured on Blaze Radio for becoming a leader in the New Jersey Devils’ front office, where she currently works as a senior account manager.
In the article, Giacin, who studied business in the liberal arts as well as economics at St. Lawrence, discusses how she broke into the male-dominated sports management industry, and the mentorship and guidance she received from other women in leadership roles.
“Having strong women role models showed me that confidence, persistence, and collaboration are key to breaking barriers,” she says in the article.
