The Diversity & Inclusion Book Club is please to continue its discussion series!

In recognition of Black History Month, we’ve selected a remarkable work of fiction written by MacArthur Foundation Fellow and Nebula Award recipient Octavia Butler. The title is Parable of the Sower, and it tells the story of how climate change and economic crisis have created a crisis in which the structures of society crumble and the main character, young Black teen Lauren Olamina, must prepare herself for survival and for leading others to a safe haven.
