Paying attention, whether to the natural world, to the ideas of one's peers, or to a text, is foundational to thinking clearly and creatively. Yet, many of us, and many of our students, find our attention spans degraded in a world of constant demands for our focus. This session will build on themes discussed by Dr. James Lang at the 2025 May College as we explore how to cultivate a culture of attention in our classrooms.
