Biochemistry at St. Lawrence is an interdisciplinary major between the biology and Chemistry departments. If you are interested in the molecules that make up life or the molecular basis of disease and drug function, biochemistry is a great major for you. Biochemistry is the main driving force behind the biotechnology revolution.

Biochemistry majors go on to graduate school, work in the biotechnology industry, the pharmaceutical industry, as lab assistants in university research labs or even go to medical school or other health professions. Recent graduates have gone on to the University of Virginia, Einstein, Northeastern pharmacy school, University of California at Irvine, SUNY Upstate, Rutgers school of Dentistry They work as research assistants or associates at Cornell, SUNY Upstate, Albany Molecular Research, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Battelle Memorial Institute.
