Overview
This article provides instructions for adding SLU printers to your computer through the network path. If you are adding SLU Public Printers to your device, use the instructions in the following article instead:

Instructions
Before following these instructions, ensure you are connected to the Wi-Fi eduroam and do not have the VPN turned on. For instructions on connecting to eduroam, use the instructions in the following article:

MacOS
- Open System Preferences
- Select Printers and Scanners
- Click +
- Select Advanced in your Toolbar
- If you do not see Advanced...
- Right Click next to the Windows icon and select Customize Toolbar
- Drag the Advanced Icon into your Toolbar
- For Type select Windows Printer via spoolss
- For the URL type smb://print.stlawu.local/(name of the printer)
- To find the name of a network printer, see this article: Network Printers: Name and Location | St. Lawrence University
- For SLU Public Printers and copiers, use print01.stlawu.local for the name of the printer.
- For Name, type the desired name for the printer.
- For Use select Genertic Post Script
- Click Add
Windows 10
- Click Start
- Type \\print.stlawu.local\(name of the printer) in the search box
- To find the name of a network printer, see this article: Network Printers: Name and Location | St. Lawrence University
- For SLU Public Printers and copiers, use print01.stlawu.local for the name of the printer.
- Hit Enter
- Enter your SLU username and password when prompted
- Click Install Driver if the driver isn't already installed
Windows 7
- Click Start
- In the search box, type: \\print.stlawu.local\(name of printer)

- For SLU Public Printers and copiers, use print01.stlawu.local for the name of the printer.
- Click Ok
- Enter your SLU username and password
- When prompted, click Install Driver
Windows 8
- From the Windows 8 Start screen, click the Desktop tile.
- Move your mouse into the lower left hand corner and right-click
- Click Run and then type the following into the box: \\print.stlawu.local\(name of printer)

- For SLU Public Printers and copiers, use print01.stlawu.local for the name of the printer.
- Click Ok
- Enter your SLU username and password.
- When prompted, click Install Driver
