Microsoft OneDrive is a personal document library intended for storing and organizing your documents and other files. You can access OneDrive anywhere, and use it to share files with others both within and outside of the University. You may store up to 1TB with OneDrive, and you'll maintain access as long as you have an active St. Lawrence University network account. Restoring deleted files in OneDrive for Business

Deleted items go into the recycle bin where they stay for up to 90 days. All deleted files and folders are permanently deleted after this period. Click on the Settings icon (gear) and select Site contents. Under Site Collection Administration, click Recycle bin. You will be presented with the contents of your recycle bin. Tick the check box next to the item(s) you wish to recover and click Restore Selection. You will be prompted for confirmation. Click OK to move the file(s) from the recycle bin to your OneDrive for Business library. To return to your files, click OneDrive in the top menu bar.

OneDrive for Business: Restrictions and Limitations

How to Share Files with OneDrive (Windows)

Overview How to share files from OneDrive (Windows) Instructions Save the file you would like to share to your OneDrive folder. Open your OneDrive folder in Windows Explorer. Right click the chosen file and click "Share". Choose who you would like to have access by clicking “Anyone with the link” and selecting your preferred security setting. Enter the email addresses of the people with whom you would like to share the document. Click Send

Configure Secondary OneDrive (for Business) Account

Adding Secondary Account Navigate to stlawu.onedrive.com and sign in with your St. Lawrence University email address and password. Click on your Profile in the upper right corner of the page. Check OneDrive Storage Quota

Navigate to https://stlawu.onedrive.com Log in with your St. Lawrence email address and password Click on the Settings icon (gear). Click Onedrive Settings. On the left panel, click More Settings. Scroll down to Features and Storage. Click Storage Metrics. Your OneDrive storage usage will appear.

Access to OneDrive in Microsoft Office

Information OneDrive is a cloud storage solution that's included in Microsoft Office. It works similarly to Google Drive or Dropbox. Data you save to your OneDrive folder is automatically backed up to the cloud, so you can access it from any device you've signed into.
