Math Honor Society Welcomes New Members for Fall 2021

The St. Lawrence chapter of the mathematical honor society, Pi Mu Epsilon, recently inducted 22 new members. Pi Mu Epsilon recognizes students who exhibit strong mathematical understanding in their mathematics coursework.

Aimee Baker, Writers Series Guest: Recording Now Available

The St. Lawrence University Writers Series welcomed poet Aimée Baker '04 via on Thursday, Sept. 16. Baker's debut poetry collection, Doe, dramatizes the untold stories of missing and unidentified women across the United States and was selected as the winner of the 2016 Akron Prize. The recording of the event is now available for viewing.

English Class at Cornell Cooperative Farm

Professor Mark Sturges recently took his English class on a field trip to Cornell Cooperative Extension farm.  Students learned about animal husbandry and how to line up to herd sheep from Livestock Resource Educator Betsy Hodge.

2021 Graduates Win Awards

Three 2021 graduates recently won awards from their Senior Year Experience and Honors Thesis research on Northern New York's dairy industry, prison reform, and pastoralism and conservation in Kenya.

Brush Gallery Receives Strategic Planning Assistance Award

The Richard F. Brush Art Gallery received a 2021 Strategic Planning Assistance award from Documentary Heritage & Preservation Services for New York (DHPSNY) to develop a three-year strategic plan regarding its exhibitions, permanent collection of art objects and cultural artifacts, educational programs and activities, staff training, and facilities.
