Professor Brezault Presents at International Conference in Dakar

Her paper was entitled: “Afrofuturism, performances and environmental dystopias: In search of a new ecopoetics of place.”

Associate Professor and Co-Chair World Languages, Cultures, and Media Department Eloise Brezault hosted two renowned Senegalese artists whose work has been nourished by political and social activism to keep democracy alive in Senegal. The artists spent two days on campus, visiting classes and speaking with students about the importance of art and activism in their work.
