Here's We Go Saints!

This past week the women's soccer team secured a 3-0 win against Utica University, while the women's hockey team celebrated a thrilling 2-1 victory over RIT. In the world of esports, St. Lawrence's League of Legends and Super Smash Bros teams showed their digital dominance with 2-0 wins against Howard Community College and Hood College, respectively. The women's swimming and diving team outperformed Clarkson University with a score of 170-103. Meanwhile, the men's soccer team had a resounding 4-0 win against Skidmore College on their home field.

The Kenya Semester Program is Underway!

Students in the Kenya Semester Program recently ventured out on the Amboseli component of their experience. For just under a week, they stayed at Sopa Lodge in Amboseli region—a national park spanning 394 square kilometers with a collection of six group ranches—sighting views of Mt. Kilimanjaro across the border in Tanzania. Each day consisted of different experiential learning activities like visiting the local village to interview farmers to roaming Amboseli National Park on safari, and so much more! Weekend Victories for the Saints

Over the weekend, Saints women's tennis wrapped its regular season with a 7-2 win over William Smith after dominating Ithaca 7-2. The wins for the Scarlet and Brown continued with men's tennis defeating Ithaca 8-1 on the road while men's rowing Varsity 8 placed first at the Skidmore Sprints. During the University of Rochester Alumni Meet, Nicholas Lyndaker '26 won the 1500m, Michael Skutt '24 won the 5000m, George Gowdy '23 won the 10,000m, and Eric Geier '23 won the 110m hurdles for the men's track and field team while Haylei Coolican '23 won the 5000m for the women's team. Last week, the Saints secured local rival wins as women's lacrosse topped Clarkson 15-12 and softball beat Potsdam 6-4. For up-to-date schedules, news, and scores visit SaintsAthletics.com.

Kaleidoscope 2023

The St. Lawrence community filled Eben Holden last week in celebration of Kaleidoscope, the annual showcase of international fare, from traditional foods, music, and dancing to spoken word, and other presentations by our talented students—closing out an eventful World Languages Week! Saints Winter Sports in Full Swing

While the men's and women's cross country teams concluded the fall season with individual and team appearances at the NCAA National Championships, the winter sports season continues in full swing for the Saints. Over the weekend, men's basketball defeated SUNY Canton 68-52 and SUNY Potsdam 71-62  after beating Plattsburgh 77-65 earlier in the week.  Women's basketball topped Plattsburgh 60-58 while men's squash opened its season with a 9-0 shutout over Brown University on Sunday. St. Lawrence Celebrates International Education Week

During International Education Week, students across campus gathered to eat, dance, create, and learn while celebrating the many different cultures represented at St. Lawrence. From Diwali, the Festival of Lights, dance workshops, and language lessons, to international art and sushi-making classes, there was no shortage of opportunities for students to share their cultures and learn new things about our community. Saints Riding Named Reserve Champs; Spring Sports Continue

The riding team is headed to the IHSA Nationals after being named the Reserve Champions at the IHSA Zone II Finals on Saturday. Following the show, St. Lawrence University President Kathryn Morris presented the Saints with the Reserve Champion trophy. The wins for the Scarlet and Brown continued with Saints Softball defeating Union (7-6, 6-3) after dominating Wells (21-0, 25-0) and SUNY Plattsburgh (11-4) while Saints Baseball secured wins over RIT (6-5) and SUNY Canton (11-7). Men’s lacrosse defeated Skidmore 22-4 after topping SUNY Plattsburgh 25-5 and women’s lacrosse defeated Skidmore 21-13, Union 16-12, and SUNY Canton 20-11 while women’s tennis beat William Smith 7-2. For up-to-date schedules, news, and scores visit SaintsAthletics.com.

Student Talent Takes the Stage

St. Lawrence student talent was on full display during University Theatre's recent production of  "30 Plays from Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind (30 Neo-Futurist Plays in 60 Minutes)!” Each performance featured 60 small plays performed in random order and incorporating audience interaction, ensuring no performance was ever exactly the same.
