    An Evening with Acclaimed Musician Jake Blount

    St. Lawrence University and the Ken Okoth '01 Black American Music Project will welcome acclaimed artist Jake Blount for an evening concert on Wednesday, October 25 at 7 p.m. in Peterson-Kermani Performance Hall. This event is free and open to the public and will be livestreamed.

    Mathematics Professor Look Gives Invited Lecture and Authors Publication on Complex Dynamics

    Professor Daniel Look was selected as this year’s speaker and gave his presentation, “’Rethinking Assessment to Increase Student Engagement and Preserve Instructor Sanity,” at the fall meetings of the Seaway Section of the Mathematical Association of America. He also published his research.

    Here's We Go Saints!

    This past week the women's soccer team secured a 3-0 win against Utica University, while the women's hockey team celebrated a thrilling 2-1 victory over RIT. In the world of esports, St. Lawrence's League of Legends and Super Smash Bros teams showed their digital dominance with 2-0 wins against Howard Community College and Hood College, respectively. The women's swimming and diving team outperformed Clarkson University with a score of 170-103. Meanwhile, the men's soccer team had a resounding 4-0 win against Skidmore College on their home field.

    The Kenya Semester Program is Underway!

    Students in the Kenya Semester Program recently ventured out on the Amboseli component of their experience. For just under a week, they stayed at Sopa Lodge in Amboseli region—a national park spanning 394 square kilometers with a collection of six group ranches—sighting views of Mt. Kilimanjaro across the border in Tanzania. Each day consisted of different experiential learning activities like visiting the local village to interview farmers to roaming Amboseli National Park on safari, and so much more!     St. Lawrence Recognized for Worker Safety Success

    St. Lawrence’s workers compensation trust recently won a Theo Award, which honors Theodore Roosevelt’s contributions to worker safety and those who continue that work, and is one of the top industry awards for risk and insurance in the worker safety space.

    Women’s Tennis: Senior Angelica Aksdal-Jansen reached the ITA Northeast Regional semifinals, one of just four remaining from a 128-player field. She rallied to win the second set but fell 6-3 in the third to NYU’s Victoria Wang.

    Women’s Soccer: Senior Meredith Donahue scored early in Sunday’s match, but the Saints settled for a 1-1 draw at Hamilton. SLU’s record now stands at 4-3-3.

    Men’s Golf: First-year Conlin Bradshaw surged 14 spots on Sunday at the Bowdoin Invitational, finishing T-7th with a 146. He birdied four holes in the final round to cut six strokes off his score.
