Saints Compete on the National Stage and Secure Wins

    • Women’s Lacrosse: Tom Ryan was named St. Lawrence’s Head Women's Lacrosse Coach on December 2. Prior to his selection as head coach, Ryan was a valued member of the St. Lawrence athletic department for 11 years, serving as an assistant men's coach since 2013 and an assistant women's coach since 2015. As the men's assistant, he worked as the offensive and recruiting coordinator for the Saints. He was named the IMLCA Division III Assistant Coach of the Year in 2016 after helping the men's lacrosse team reach the semifinal round of the NCAA Championship. His coaching consistently resulted in a nationally ranked team, and he attended over 12 national tournaments per year, leading to 20 All-Americans. As an assistant to the women's program, he served in an interim role during multiple coach transitions.
    • Women’s Basketball: Junior Jackie Malley hit seven three-pointers en route to a season-high 21 points as St. Lawrence claimed the title game of the Westfield Gas and Electric Tip-Off Tournament 70-64 against the Westfield State Owls last week. The Saints' undefeated record remains intact as they finish November 6-0, despite enduring a tough test against the tournament hosts. This remains the Saints' best start since 2021-22, when the Scarlet and Brown were Liberty League finalists.
    • Men’s Basketball: Since suffering a 59-37 setback loss against Clarkson two weeks ago, the men’s basketball team has rebounded nicely with back-to-back wins, moving them to a 3-1 overall record heading into December. Junior Adam Dudzinski is coming off a strong week, leading the team with 24 points in their win over Geneseo. He also paced the Saints with 21 points against Plattsburgh.
    • Women’s Hockey: Junior Emma-Sofie Nordström was named MAC Goaltending Goalie of the Week for the period ending Nov. 25. Nordström went 1-0-1 in goal for the Scarlet and Brown on the road, recording 70 saves, a 0.96 GAA, and a .972 save percentage. The Saints defeated Yale 2-1 on Friday, before tying Brown 1-1 to close out the weekend. Her season goals against and save percentage both rank seventh nationally, while she ranks third in the ECAC for save percentage.
    • Cross-Country: A trio of Saints cross country runners competed on the national stage two weekends ago at the NCAA cross country championship. In the men’s eight-kilometer race, Junior Nick Lyndaker placed 59th overall for the Saints. First-year Avery Blanchard and sophomore McKenna Allardi both competed in the women’s six-kilometer run for the first time. Blanchard placed 206th, while Allardi finished 278th.
