    St. Lawrence University President William L. Fox ’75 announced his plan to retire on June 30, 2021, after 12 years at the helm of his undergraduate alma mater. He shared the news with the campus community on Tuesday, Aug. 4.

  3. Dr. Giardino Co-Organizes Conference

    Alessandro Giardino, Co-Chair of WLCM (World Languages, Cultures, and Media), Coordinator of European Studies and Associate Professor of Francophone and Italian Studies, was the Co-Chair and Co-Organizer of the conference "Voyage to Italy" held at the Sant’Anna Institute, Sorrento, Italy on July 10, 2021. Giardino also delivered the keynote address "Naples in the Travel Journals Before the Grand Tour.

    St. Lawrence University student researchers enrolled in the New York State Collegiate Science and Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) and the Ronald E. McNair Scholars Program attended the University at Buffalo Undergraduate Research Conference held from July 19 to 21 in Niagara Falls, New York.

    More than 500 members of St. Lawrence University’s Class of 2021 took part in the University’s Commencement, which celebrated the ways members of the graduating class have made the Laurentian community better while working toward a path that will ensure they leave their mark on the world.   8. MCSS Hosts Annual Majors Dinner

    On February 1st, 2023 the Mathematics, Computer Science and Statistics (MCSS) department held its annual Majors Dinner. Due to Covid-19, it was the first time in four years that the event took place. Approximately 75 students and faculty gathered at Sergi’s Ristorante Italiano & Pizzeria in downtown Canton for an informal evening of sharing information and socializing. Faculty shared information about upcoming conferences, internship and job opportunities, and departmental events.
