  2. NSF Grant Supports St. Lawrence Climate Research

    St. Lawrence received three NSF grants this year. A professor and student will use a $78,872 grant to travel—twice—to the Arctic’s Bering Sea Region and study the traditional ecological knowledge of the Siberian Yupik tribe.

    A day in the life of a St. Lawrence student looks different these days. That’s especially the case for Emily Cafarella '21, who is balancing her academic obligations with her role as a first responder and officer with the Massena Rescue Squad. That puts her on the front line of the COVID-19 pandemic, working with her crew to keep her hometown safe.

  4. St. Lawrence Welcomes Class of 2026

    The Class of 2026 are leaders in and out of the classroom. They’re artists and performers, entrepreneurs, athletes, and advocates. Even before they matriculated on August 21, 2022, they set the bar high for future Laurentians. They came to St. Lawrence with a cumulative four-year GPA of 92.3—a record for an incoming class.

  6. St. Lawrence Awards Fall 2018 Innovation Grants

    St. Lawrence University announced the Fall 2018 Innovation Grant award recipients, which include purchasing glasses to correct color vision deficiency, chargers for students’ electronic devices, mental health events that take place outside the Counseling Center, alternative alcohol-free first Saturday events, interpretive signage at building entrances, and bat boxes.
