On Saturday, we honored all Sept. 11 victims and their families, especially Laurentians Robert J. “Bobby” Coll ’88, Catherine Gorayeb ’82, Christopher Morrison ’89, Michel A. “Mike” Pelletier ’88, and Richard H. “Richie” Stewart Jr. ’89. In addition to the hundreds of American flags displayed on the Brush Quad, this year’s campus flag installation also included flags from the more than 90 countries that also lost people 20 years ago. Thank you to the SLU Democrats and International House coordinators for organizing the tribute and to the many students, faculty, and staff who played a role in making it happen again this year. Brush Art Gallery This exhibition is presented in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Mark Klett’s graduation from St. Lawrence University in 1974. The show features 12 photographs from "El Camino del Diablo," a project based on a journey by a young mining engineer, Raphael Pumpelly, through Arizona and Mexico in 1861 on “the road of the devil.” |

With five boats in the men's 2V race, St. Lawrence's 'B' boat with first-year Luke Rucolas and senior Sam Sternhagen placed first with a time of 15:00.62. The Saints 'A' Varsity 8 rowed to a first-place finish, recording a time of 15:29. 67. Women’s Hockey—Three different Saints scored, including a first-career goal for first-year Alexia Côté, as eighth-ranked women's hockey opened the 2024-25 season with a 3-0 win over Merrimack in a Friday morning game at Lawler Rink. St. Lawrence moved to 1-0-0 on the season, while Merrimack fell to 0-1-0. Côté took ECAC Hockey Bitcoin Rookie of the Week honors for the performance. Men’s Tennis—Senior Edvin Strandberg was the lone Saint to represent men’s tennis at the ITA Northeast Regionals on the campus of Drew University, and advanced to the Round of 16 yesterday with a pair of wins. This morning, Strandberg went to a tiebreak in the opening game losing 6-7 (3) and fell 0-6 in the final game to end his run. The team will be back in action in February. Women's basketball secured a 68-57 win over RIT on Saturday after defeating William Smith 82-59 on Friday and dominating Clarkson 74-47 at home last week while Saints men's basketball beat RIT 88-71 on Saturday after securing a 73-67 win over Hobart on Friday. The wins for the Scarlet and Brown continued with men's hockey shutting out Brown 6-0 on the road while women's hockey skated to a 3-2 overtime win over Cornell at home.
