Saints Shatter Records; Head to Liberty League ChampionshipsThe Saints track and field teams dominated the Intercollegiate Twilight Meet as Kimberly Merchant ’22 set a program record in the discus and several Saints secured top spots in their competitions as they head into the Liberty League Championships this weekend. Women’s lacrosse is headed to the Liberty Leagues after defeating RIT 21-14 to set a new program record for wins in a season and securing a 16-13 victory over Nazareth while men’s tennis beat Ithaca 6-3 after dominating SUNY Oswego 9-0 on the road. Saints Baseball defeated Skidmore 15-5 and 18-8 in a doubleheader after securing a 22-6 win over SUNY Canton 22-6 earlier in the week. Over the weekend, the softball team concluded its regular season while the men’s and women’s rowing and golf teams closed their respective seasons during the Liberty League Championships. A Week of Winning!Saints baseball recorded their first sweep of league play over the weekend, downing RIT with three wins, 14-6, 4-1 and 10-9, all in nine-inning contests on Friday and Saturday. Entering the final week and a half of the regular season, the Saints play Clarkson in a three-game series beginning Friday with playoff implications for both teams. The Saints currently occupy the fifth seed in the Liberty Leagues west division, with five teams making the postseason. Both men’s and women’s tennis teams took victories in their league play over the weekend, with men’s tennis beating Bard 9-0 and went 1-1 overall on the week, also losing to RPI. Women’s tennis also downed Bard 9-0 and engaged in a close match against RPI, narrowly losing 5-4. Yvette Karara '27 was perfect on the weekend, including a 2-0 day in the tight defeat against the Engineers. Esports season officially came to an end on a 4-1 playoff loss to Kennesaw State. The team enjoyed a successful campaign, finishing second in the Northeast Region and top 14 in the nation within their division of the National Esports Collegiate Conference. Jimmy King '26 tied for sixth place to lead the St. Lawrence men's golf team at the Farmingdale Spring Invitational over the weekend at the par-70 Bethpage Black Course in Long Island, New York. Saints Secure Weekend Wins, Spring Sports ContinueThe Scarlet and Brown dominated the competition this weekend as women's lacrosse defeated Union 10-9 and Skidmore 15-9 while men's lacrosse defeated Skidmore 13-8 after dominating SUNY Plattsburgh 19-4 under the lights last week. The wins for the Scarlet and Brown continued with women's tennis beating Vassar 5-4, Saints baseball securing a pair of wins over Hobart (5-4,12-11), and Saints softball sweeping SUNY Potsdam (6-5, 6-4) in its home opener last week. During the UVM Quad meet, Emma Palumbo '25 won the 3,000-meter steeplechase for the women's track and field team while Matt Serrano '26, Matt Abell '13, Erik Geier '23, Timothy Boyce '25, and William Hauf '25 each won events to lead the men's team. Men's rowing opened the spring portion of its schedule with a pair of wins over UVM and a win over Middlebury. Lewis Anderson '25 was named a College Squash Association Second Team All-American for the second consecutive year and Marvin Sibanda '23 was named D3soccer.com's Midfielder of the Year and a First Team All-American.
