    The Class of 2026 are leaders in and out of the classroom. They’re artists and performers, entrepreneurs, athletes, and advocates. Even before they matriculated on August 21, 2022, they set the bar high for future Laurentians. They came to St. Lawrence with a cumulative four-year GPA of 92.3—a record for an incoming class.

    Celebrating 19 Years of Kaleidoscope! 🎉

    Last week, the St. Lawrence community came together to celebrate 19 years of Kaleidoscope! Started in 2006 by Victor Kai-Rogers '08 from Freetown, Sierra Leone, the annual tradition celebrates the many cultures represented in our community through performance and art. Hosted by the I-House and International Student Services, the event wrapped up World Languages Week with an exciting showcase of global music, dance, fashion, and food. 

    A heartfelt thank you to all who made this celebration possible, but especially to those who took the stage to share their customs and traditions with us. ❤️🤎

    Holding History: Dr. Rosales Examines Ice Core Dating Back 420,000 Years

    Paddle, Portage, Party!: Digitizing Photographs in St. Lawrence University’s Special Collections

    Autumn Nealis ’25 and Sophia Roxo ’26 teamed up with Gallery Director Catherine Tedford and Curator of Special Collections Paul Doty to digitize and catalogue a collection of over 130 historical Adirondack photographs by Seneca Ray Stoddard housed at the Owen D. Young Library.

    MCSS holds 13th Pi-athlon in Celebration of Pi Day

    St. Lawrence's Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics held its 13th Pi-athlon to celebrate Pi Day. Held at Peterson Quantitative Resource Center in Valentine Hall, students partook in various events including Sudoku, mathematically themed video games, puzzle making, etc.

    Exploring the Mediterranean Voice in Opera: A Talk with Lara Jokhadar

    - Carnegie 10 In this engaging talk, Lara Jokhadar, a Lebanese-Canadian soprano, will explore how Mediterranean stories, languages, and vocal traditions have shaped the world of opera. She will highlight how singers from the region bring their unique cultural backgrounds to the global stage, keeping the Mediterranean spirit alive in classical music today.

    Urinetown: The Musical

    - Gulick Theatre University Theatre presents "Urinetown: The Musical," a humorous romp that leaves no one spared–corrupt politicians, greedy CEOS, universities, revolutionaries, and even other musicals. Performances will take place April 10, 11, 12 at 7:30 p.m. and April 13 at 2 p.m. in Guilick Theatre.

    Aeolian Trio Brings the Sound of Salvation: Zen Music & Japanese Bamboo Flute Performance

    - Sullivan Student Center, Winston Room This concert offers a unique experience, bringing together the extraordinary talents of shakuhachi (flute) master and California native Bruce Huebner, New York-based Japanese guitarist Shu Odamura, and percussion virtuoso Todd Isler, whose expertise spans South Asian and Middle Eastern rhythms.

    SLU Wind Ensemble Concert: American Composers and the American Experience

    - Peterson-Kermani Performance Hall Music by George Gershwin, Percy Grainger, and Leonard Bernstein will be performed. “Arabesque” by Samuel Hazo and “From the Delta” by William Grant Still will be featured.

    Saints Reach Milestones and Sweep Opponents

    • Men’s Lacrosse: Head coach Mike Mahoney captured his 300th career victory by downing Vassar 10-5 over the weekend. The Saints are now on a three-game winning streak.
    • Softball: The Saints picked up a 10-0 win in game two of the doubleheader with Clarkson on Friday. Sophomore Maeve Thompson led the charge for both games, recording four hits on five at-bats and three RBIs on the day. They split the DH and are 8-6 in the season. 
    • Baseball: The Saints took down Rochester in both games of a doubleheader on Saturday. The Saints took game one 2-1 and game two 6-1. Graduate student Brett Federico, sophomore Matt Davis, and junior John Gannon led the way on offense. Sophomores David Zuhlsdorf and Boden Driscoll gave SLU 14 solid innings on the mound.
    • Women’s Tennis: The Saints swept the weekend, taking down RIT 6-1 and Ithaca 5-2. Junior Angelica Aksdal-Jansen and first-year Elisa Luri led the way as they went undefeated in all their matches in both singles and doubles.
    • Men’s Track and Field: Junior Nick Lyndaker picked up a pair of major end-of-season awards. He was named the USTFCCCA Mideast Region Runner of the Year and the Liberty League Indoor Track Athlete of the Year. At Hamilton this week, first-year Trystan Biller highlighted the men’s team with a win in the 400-meter hurdles and a second-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles. Senior Jack Simack won the javelin.  
    • Women’s Track and Field: Sophomore Quinn Sirgany headlined the Saints’ trip to Hamilton, placing first in the 1500-meter run. Junior Amelia Berthold broke two personal records, placing second in the 100-meter hurdles and fourth in the 400-meter hurdles.
