COVID-19 Booster Clinic  In accordance with public health recommendations, a COVID-19 vaccination booster is required for all St. Lawrence University students and employees within 30 days of becoming eligible. A free booster clinic will be offered Thursday, February 24 at the SUNY Canton campus. Register for the booster clinic.

St. Lawrence Adds New Digital Media and Film Major St. Lawrence has created a new bachelor's degree program in digital media and film, preparing graduates for careers in the media industry through digital content creation, new media, and a commitment to social justice.

Online Film Screening: My Buddha is Punk Mon, Feb 21 at 6pm - 1 hour 20 minutes Zoom Directed by Andreas Hartmann, this film follows a young Burmese punk as he travels across the country to promote his philosophy- a symbiosis of Buddhism and punk that rejects religious dictates and political doctrine in the former military dictatorship of Myanmar. This event is had been moved online and is available via Zoom.

Cocek! Brass Band Concert Tue, Feb 22 at 8pm - 1 hour 30 minutes Launders Underground The Cocek! Brass Band will perform compositions inspired by the music of the Balkans, New Orleans, and other brass bands from around the world. There is limited seating for this in-person event.

Diversity and Inclusion Week 2023 Mon, Feb 27 - All day St. Lawrence University’s Diversity Committee is excited to celebrate our fifth Diversity & Inclusion week.

Sophomore to Compete in 2022 Winter Paralympic Games Sydney Peterson '24, a neuroscience major and member of Saints Nordic ski team, will represent Team U.S.A. as she competes for gold in Para Nordic Skiing at the 2022 Winter Paralympic Games in Beijing, China. Read her story.

Former Saints Women's Lacrosse and Field Hockey Coach to be Honored with IWLCA Hall of Fame Induction Longtime St. Lawrence women's lacrosse and field hockey coach Dotty Hall will be enshrined in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Hall of Fame in November. Hall was one of the most successful coaches in the history of Saints women's athletics with a combined win total of 306 victories in field hockey and lacrosse. Read her story.

Saints Head to Liberty League Championships; Swim Program Records Shattered The men’s and women’s track and field teams are headed to the Liberty League Championships after winning the SLU Open against SUNY Plattsburgh, Utica, Vermont, Mohawk Valley, and SUNY Potsdam last weekend. During the Liberty League Championships in Ithaca, the women's swimming and diving team shattered program records in the 800 freestyle relay and 4x400 freestyle as Maggie Wenger '24 set a new 100 freestyle program record. Over the weekend, men’s basketball defeated Union 81-62 to secure a first-round playoff game after topping Skidmore 65-64 and women’s basketball beat Skidmore 76-45 to secure their 20th win of the season. Men’s ice hockey defeated Cornell 2-1 in an overtime contest on Friday while women’s ice hockey skated to a 3-3 tie with Harvard last week and men’s tennis beat SUNY Oneonta 8-1 on Saturday. Random Acts of Kindness Every year, the St. Lawrence community comes together and finds small ways to bring smiles to members of the North Country. St. Lawrence Announces Commencement Speakers and Honorees In recognition of their exemplary accomplishments and steadfast commitment to St. Lawrence University and the North Country community Gina Kingsbury ’04 and Andrew Williams will be honored during this year’s commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 21. Professor Ana Estevez will address the Class of 2023.

St. Lawrence Named a 2023 Best Value College by The Princeton Review Students seeking a great education with excellent career preparation and return on investment will find St. Lawrence University among a select group named to The Princeton Review’s list of “Best Value Colleges” for 2023. The popular rankings publication narrowed down the list to 209 institutions from a total of over 650 surveyed.

Festival of Science, Scholarship, and Creativity 2023 From examining global human rights issues and analyzing Adirondack waterways to utilizing 3-D printers, writing fantasy fiction, and showcasing their talents on stage, students' curiosity and creativity were on display at the Festival of Science, Scholarship, and Creativity held on Friday, April 28.

St. Lawrence Recognizes 2023 Moving-Up Day Award Winners St. Lawrence University announced its 2022-23 Moving-Up Day academic award winners, as well as Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Kappa’s newest inductees on Saturday, April 29.

Saints Wrap Spring Seasons, Head to Liberty Leagues It was a great weekend to rep the Scarlet and Brown! Saints men's and women's track and field teams each won the Intercollegiate Athletics Twilight Meet on Saturday to wrap up the regular season before heading to the league championships. The victories for the Saints continued with women's tennis heading to the semi-finals after beating Ithaca 5-4,  and women's lacrosse set to compete in the first round of the Liberty League tournament after defeating RIT 11-10  after dominating Nazareth 21-8 last week. Virtual Organ Concert: Celebrating the Estey Organ The pipe organ housed in Gunnison Memorial Chapel was built by the Estey Organ Company, one of the largest organ companies in the world. Sondra Goldsmith performs in this virtual recital celebrating the Estey organ. Watch the concert.

Saints Celebrate Wins; Winter Sports Continue Men's Squash swept the competition to secure 5-4 wins over Bowdoin, Colby, and Bates while Women’s Squash dominated Colby 8-1. The weekend wins continued with Women’s Swimming and Diving securing their fifth straight dual meet victory over Utica as Women’s Ice Hockey defeated Dartmouth 6-2 to celebrate their fourth straight win. Men’s Basketball defeated Vassar 51-50 after topping Canton 76-53 last week while Women's Basketball topped Bard in both match-ups (68-49 and 72-56). Men’s Ice Hockey skated to a 4-4 tie against Clarkson. During the Lake Placid Super Tour, Leif Harvey '25, Lilli Thomas '25, and Emma Strack '25 posted top finishes for Saints Nordic Skiing while Kathleen Merchant ’22, Jackson Hamilton ’23, and Timothy Boyce ’25 won their respective events at the Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Middlebury Invitationals.  For up-to-date schedules, news, and scores.
