  1. Faculty and Staff Honored, Awarded Promotions at Annual Convocation Ceremony

    Marking the start of a new academic year, faculty, staff, and university personnel gathered to celebrate the contributions of all members of the St. Lawrence community. The University recognized faculty who earned tenure and promotions during the annual Convocation and honored several employees with awards for their outstanding service. The ceremony was held outside the Herring-Cole Grove in the Enchanted Forest on Wednesday, August 23.

  3. Fox Center for Academic Opportunity Receives $1 Million Gift

    St. Lawrence University will benefit from a $1 million grant made by the Eisner Foundation to the endowed fund that supports the Fox Center for Academic Opportunity. The recently renamed center honors President William L. Fox ’75 and his commitment to every student’s ambition and life preparedness.

  5. Athletics Atrium Named in Honor of George W. Karpus ’68

    George W. Karpus ’68 was honored during Laurentian Weekend 2022 for his prolific contributions to St. Lawrence University and its Division III athletics program. As alumni, parents, and others came back to enjoy the weekend celebrations, nearly 200 Laurentians gathered for the naming of the George W. Karpus ’68 Atrium.

  6. Active NSF Awards Top $1 Million

    Over the last year, the National Science Foundation has awarded St. Lawrence University more than $1 million for various faculty-led projects. The latest award of $282,390 will allow the University to obtain a laser-scanning confocal microscope to be used by the Department of Biology.

  7. The Alexander String Quartet Concert

    For their final Fall season at St. Lawrence, The Alexander String Quartet will perform pieces by Joseph Haydn, Kian Ravaei, and Franz Schubert.

  9. SLU Earns Recognition for Alumni Network, Internships

    St. Lawrence University’s Alumni Network held onto its No. 3 position for a second year in a row in The Princeton Review’s most recent publication, The Best Value Colleges: 200 Schools with Exceptional ROI for Your Tuition Investment. The University also made its Top 25 list of Best Schools for Internships.
