  1. Active NSF Awards Top $1 Million

    Over the last year, the National Science Foundation has awarded St. Lawrence University more than $1 million for various faculty-led projects. The latest award of $282,390 will allow the University to obtain a laser-scanning confocal microscope to be used by the Department of Biology.

  4. President Fox Names New VP/Dean for Admissions

    St. Lawrence University has named Florence W. Hines vice president and dean of Admissions and Financial Aid, President William L. Fox announced on Dec. 14. She will begin her duties in early summer 2018.

  6. University Renames Building in Honor of Bill and Lynn Fox

    On May 20, the St. Lawrence University Board of Trustees unanimously approved a resolution to rename Madill Hall, now to be known on campus as Fox Hall, also the designated home of the Fox Center for Academic Opportunity. This recognition of President William L. Fox ’75 and Lynn Smith Fox honors their steadfast dedication to generations of students and the entire Laurentian community.

  7. Recording of 100th Candlelight Service Now Available

    For the last century, the Candlelight Service has been a cornerstone of the St. Lawrence experience and the holiday season in the North Country. The service offers a pause for reflection before final exams and marks the end of the fall semester and the approaching turn of the calendar year. The service also signals the beginning of winter and the promise of longer daylight.

    St. Lawrence University has named Paul Redfern as its next vice president for University Communications, President William L. Fox announced on Dec. 20. He will begin his duties on Jan. 30, 2018.
