  2. Sophomore Tuesday Events

    As a welcome back celebration, the Sophomore Success Initiative is hosting two events exclusive to 2nd year students on Tuesday, August 22nd. Those are a meet-and-greet event with department chairs and program coordinators from 1-2 PM in Eben Holden along with a welcome back BBQ just for sophomores from 5-7 PM outside of Herring-Cole. No RSVP is needed for either of these Sophomore Tuesday events; students should feel free to drop in whenever they wish:

  4. Solastalgia: An Environmental Arts Workshop with Alissa Cherry

    Sound and Story, a workshop facilitated by Dr. Alissa Cherry. This workshop for students will focus on understanding the difference between hearing and listening. Participants will gain a better understanding of their own soundscapes. Students are encouraged to bring a short personal recording.

  5. Solastalgia: An Environmental Arts Lecture by Dr. Alissa Cherry

    Sounds of the Outskirts, a lecture by Dr. Alissa Cherry. An exploratory look at a 32-mile urban sound walk in NYC. Sounds of the Outskirts allowed the city to speak for itself when defining its own identity. This lecture will share highlights of the sound walk and ask the audience to listen to the identity of their own homes. All are welcome.
