Robin Rhodes

Dr. Rhodes is a U.S. Department of State Fulbright U.S. Scholar to Rwanda 2025-2026 where she taught for the University of Rwanda, College of Education, and conducted research into academic literacy pedagogy, teacher professional development, and decolonization of educational systems. Robin holds a doctorate in English Pedagogy/Writing in English Language Specialization, an M.S.Ed in Educational Design, Training, and Development, New York State K-12 English as a Second Language teaching certification, and 7-12 English Language Arts teaching certification and Teaching Certification, Intermediate and Senior Divisions, English and the Intermediate and Senior Divisions, Social Sciences – General. |Ontario College of Teachers, CANADA

Dr. Rhodes teaches academic ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages), TESOL teacher education/methods, and African Studies courses. Robin is also the program coordinator for the Peace Corps Prep Program. In addition to being housed in World Languages, Cultures, and Media, Robin is also part of the African Studies Program. 

Dr. Rhodes also regularly travels to China, Rwanda, and Kenya to train teachers and work with students. Robin regularly travels to present at national and international conferences and frequently publishes in various texts and journals. Robin specializes in linguistically and culturally sustaining English pedagogy, teacher training and English instruction abroad, and language and education in Kenya and Rwanda. Robin also owns and operates Rhodes to Success Consulting, incorporated in both the USA and Rwanda.
