Joseph Porter

Joe joined University Advancement in August 2026. He is responsible for working with members of the Laurentian community in Central and Western New York, along with constituents in various other regions, while leading St. Lawrence’s Major and Planned Gifts team. 

The Lyons, NY, native graduated from Washington and Lee University in 2003. Aside from a few early character-building jobs based in San Diego and Hawaii, Joe has spent his entire career serving small liberal-arts institutions, specifically Skidmore, Middlebury, and SUNY Geneseo.  

Joe lives outside of Rochester, NY, with his wife, Blake, and twin daughters, Lenora and Willa. He travels to Canton frequently and enjoys exploring the North Country and St. Lawrence’s beautiful campus.
