Jeff earned a B.A. in philosophy and history from Gettysburg College, and his Ph.D. in philosophy from Johns Hopkins University. His recent work focuses on philosophical methodology, the study of what counts as a good philosophical argument. He's also interested in the philosophy of language and mind, and how those issues relate to a myriad of philosophical questions, such as those in the philosophy of science and ethics. He teaches courses in Ethics, the Philosophy of Science, Modern Philosophy and Introduction to Philosophy.
