James LeBlanc

James joined the St. Lawrence University Major and Planned Giving team in November 2025. In his current role, James is responsible for working with members of the Laurentian community in the metro NYC region.

James brings nearly a decade of fundraising experience at small independent schools across New England. Most recently, as Director of Major Gifts at The Frederick Gunn School (Washington, CT), he was a member of an Advancement team that completed a $100M comprehensive campaign, the largest in school history. James is a strong advocate of small school communities where the connections made are genuine and long lasting. 

James resides in Washington, CT with his wife Ashley, and their two children, Douglas and Gordon. When James is not in or around NYC, he can be found skiing with his family in VT, fly fishing, or three putting his way around a golf course.
