Esther R. Oey

Dr. Esther Oey is the Coordinator of the Teacher Education and General Studies in Education Programs and Visiting Assistant Professor of Education at St. Lawrence University. She received her doctorate in Urban Schooling from the Graduate School of Education & Information Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles in 1999, and taught at St. Lawrence University from 1999-2006 before returning for her current position in 2014. Prior to completing her doctoral degree, she coordinated professional development institutes for science teachers at UCLA and taught middle school science for the Los Angeles Unified School District. Her research interests include issues of diversity and inclusion and teacher professional development.
