Dr. Yanqiu Zheng
Dr. Zheng joined St. Lawrence University in January 2024, when a major snowstorm welcomed him to the North Country during his first week. A proud southerner from mainland China, he attended Peking University in Beijing and was an exchange student in Sweden and Taiwan before coming to study and work in the United States. With multidisciplinary training in philosophy, education, and history, Dr. Zheng received his Ph.D. in modern Chinese history from Northwestern University. Drawing upon his previous experience, Dr. Zheng looks forward to continuing his research on China in the world, broadening the course offerings in Asia studies, and promoting the Asia and Pacific programs in the CIIS portfolio.
