A composer and multimedia artist, Dr. Watts came to St. Lawrence in 2002 and was appointed NCAT director in 2005. The NCAT facility, which opened in 2007, reflects his vision for interdisciplinary arts education in the liberal arts — using technology as a common ground to explore issues, traditions, and aesthetics from multiple perspectives. His writings, music, and performance art explore themes of technology and human experience.
