A.J. Dykstra

A.J. Dykstra currently serves as the Director of the Peterson Quantitative Resource Center (PQRC) at St. Lawrence University, where he leads the center’s mission of supporting quantitative reasoning across campus. He previously served as Assistant Director from 2022–2024.

In addition to his role at the PQRC, A.J. is a Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Statistics, where he teaches in the Calculus sequence and introductory statistics courses. A NYS Certified Secondary Mathematics Teacher, he is deeply passionate about math education and helping students develop confidence and skills in quantitative reasoning.

A proud St. Lawrence graduate (Class of 2022), A.J. majored in Mathematics with minors in Statistics and Education. He went on to earn a Master’s degree in Educational Technology from SUNY Potsdam

Outside the classroom, A.J. enjoys playing disc golf, cheering on the Baltimore Ravens, and coaching baseball at Canton Central School.
