Four former Viebranz Visiting Professors of Creative Writing returned to campus Thursday to talk about their craft and, later that evening, to read from their work. The event kicked off a yearlong celebration marking 25 years of the Viebranz Visiting Professorship.

Dan Look’s New Cat-Inspired Book Shows the Cute and Cuddly Side of Mathematics

When you cuddle up with your feline companion, do you think about mathematics? You don’t? Well, Charles A. Dana Professor of Mathematics Dan Look does, and his creative new book, "Math Cats: Scratching the Surface of Mathematical Concepts," might make you reconsider just how cute—ahem, acute—your cat can be.

- Sykes Common Lounge In this talk, Dr. Berry discusses the radicalization processes from a non-partisan perspective to help our community understand this process better and how we might consider intervening in that process to prevent future acts of political violence.

Saints Shutout the Competition

Field Hockey: Senior Sydney LeClair opened the scoring and senior Caroline Hamilton netted the go-ahead goal as St. Lawrence used a second-half surge to earn a 2-1 Liberty League win over Union on Sunday at Hall-Leet Stadium. Senior Elizabeth Walsh posted 19 saves over the week, earning Liberty League Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Women’s Soccer: Junior Sydney Keenan scored early and junior goalkeeper Zoe Davenport posted a clean sheet as St. Lawrence earned a 1–0 Liberty League road win over RIT. With nine league points, the Saints sit fifth, two points ahead of RIT and four ahead of Ithaca and RPI for the final playoff spot.

Women’s Hockey: First collegiate goals from first-years Meghan Crowley and Brooke Mulvihill, plus an empty netter from graduate student Alexa Davis and a shutout by junior goalie Kassidy Lawrence, powered No. 14 St. Lawrence to a 3-0 win over RIT to earn a weekend split.

A Day in the Life of an NYC Intern!

Navya Aggarwal ’26, a double-major in business and economics, is spending the first half of her senior year interning at Neuberger Berman in New York City. The biggest challenge, she says, is also the best part—that is, finding balance  between her professional, academic, and personal life.
