SLUPIC: Empowering North Country ConnectionsThis summer’s cohort of St. Lawrence University Public Interest Corps (SLUPIC) interns worked to preserve local history with the TAUNY Center, advocate for food justice in the North Country with GardenShare, and facilitate interactive learning opportunities for local school children with the North Country Children's Museum. In the process, they helped create impact while building relationships with activists, artists, business leaders, and changemakers in the St. Lawrence County community. |

Last week, Esports' Overwatch team opened their season against Northeastern College and New Haven University while the field hockey team matched up against Hamilton College. In their Friday night lights game, the football team defeated Morrisville State College 27 - 14. On Saturday, the men’s soccer team secured a 1-0 win against SUNY Potsdam at home, while the women’s soccer team tied against RPI in their Liberty League opener on the road. The volleyball team defeated Utica College and Elmira College at the Oswego Invitational, while Lillian Sullivan '23 and Catherine Gamble '23 led the women's tennis team with first-round wins in the singles draw on Saturday at the ITA Northeast Regional Tournament at William Smith College. The men's tennis team had two pairs win their semifinal match of the "A" Doubles consolation at the Dutchman Invitational hosted by Union College on Sunday afternoon. Men’s golf competed in the Williams College Fall Invitational, while women’s golf competed in the George Phinney Classic invitational at Middlebury.
