Optical (Cold-Cathode) Cathodoluminescence (Cold-CL)

Reliotron cold-cathode instrument with Technosyn/CITL chamber is attached to Olympus stereo zoom microscope with digital camera. The microscope stage was made by Leeds.

Cold-CL is used in cement stratigraphy and diagenetic history studies of carbonate and siliciclastic rocks, as well as in provenance analysis of sandstones and shales.
