    Richard F. Brush Art Gallery Presents: Wood Paper Ink

    - Brush Art Gallery The Richard F. Brush Art Gallery, in collaboration with the Mokuhanga Sisters, presents diverse examples of mokuhanga, the traditional method of Japanese water-based woodblock printing, and its expansion from Japan to the international world of contemporary art during this exhibition on display beginning Monday, Sept. 12 through Saturday, Oct. 8.

    Saints Shut Out the Competition, Fall Sports Continue

    The scarlet and brown shut out the competition as Saints volleyball topped Potsdam 3-0 with a marathon 62-point second set and Saints men's soccer defeated Ithaca 1-0 last week. At the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Regionals hosted by Drew University, Nathan Turtledove '23 earned a singles win, and Broderick Pinto '25 and Adam Heilbronner '24 earned a doubles win. For up-to-date schedules, news, and scores visit SaintsAthletics.com.

    NSF Grant Supports a Sporting Approach to Teaching Data Science

    Peterson '24 Secures Bronze at 2023 Para Nordic World Championships; Skating Saints Sweep Route 11 Rival

    It was a great weekend to be a Saint! During the 2023 Para Nordic World Championships Saints Nordic skier Sydney Peterson ’24 secured two bronze medals in the women’s standing 10km and the standing sprint. This marks the second high-stakes competition appearance for Sydney who secured bronze, silver, and gold medals at the 2022 Beijing Paralympic Games. Over the weekend, the Skating Saints dominated Clarkson University in back-to-back matchups with a 4-2 win over the Knights at Cheel Arena on Saturday and a 4-2 home ice win on Friday as women's ice hockey defeated Brown 6-1 on the road. The wins for the Scarlet and Brown continued with men's basketball beating Bard 60-55 after defeating Vassar 57-49 while women's basketball beat Bard 79-34, and men's squash defeated Colby 6-3. Saints women's swimming and diving team dominated Utica 194-60 while the men's team beat Utica 95-71 in their final meet before the Liberty League Championships. The women's track and field team won eight events to defend its Saints Indoor Invitational while Zachary Jaworski '25 won both throwing events, and Nick Lyndaker '26 won the 800 meters and the mile to lead the men's team. For up-to-date schedules, news, and scores visit SaintsAthletics.com.

    Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

    Students and community members recently gathered in Gunnison Memorial Chapel to celebrate Dr. King’s legacy during the annual Martin Luther King Jr. service. Leading with the theme, “It starts with me—the call to transform,” Rev. Dr. Shaun Whitehead was joined by President Kate Morris, University choirs, and members of the Black Laurentian Initiative, as they took the stage through spiritual songs, words of reflection, and moving performances.
