Saints Winter Sports in Full SwingWhile the men's and women's cross country teams concluded the fall season with individual and team appearances at the NCAA National Championships, the winter sports season continues in full swing for the Saints. Over the weekend, men's basketball defeated SUNY Canton 68-52 and SUNY Potsdam 71-62 after beating Plattsburgh 77-65 earlier in the week. Women's basketball topped Plattsburgh 60-58 while men's squash opened its season with a 9-0 shutout over Brown University on Sunday. Several teams kicked off their respective seasons this weekend. The men's and women's golf teams hit the links at the St. Lawrence Invitational on the Oliver D. Appleton Golf Course while Women's Tennis opened their 2021-22 season at the Mary Hosking Invitational hosted by William Smith. On Saturday, the men's and women's cross country teams emerged victorious in their meets against SUNY Plattsburgh, while Field Hockey defeated SUNY Oneonta, 5- 1. Women's Soccer and Men's Soccer swept the competition in both of their respective games this weekend. Visit SaintsAthletics.com.
