  2. Faculty and Staff Honored, Awarded Promotions at Annual Convocation Ceremony

    Marking the start of a new academic year, faculty, staff, and university personnel gathered to celebrate the contributions of all members of the St. Lawrence community. The University recognized faculty who earned tenure and promotions during the annual Convocation and honored several employees with awards for their outstanding service. The ceremony was held outside the Herring-Cole Grove in the Enchanted Forest on Wednesday, August 23.

    St. Lawrence Climbs Even Higher in The Princeton Review Rankings for Alumni Network, Internships, and Impact

    The Princeton Review named St. Lawrence to its list of “Best Value Colleges” for 2024, noting its high return on investment for students and recent grads. The University also ascended in several rankings categories, coming in at No. 2 on “Top 20 Best Private School Alumni Networks,” No. 5 on “Top 20 Best Private Schools for Internships,” and No. 9 on “Best Schools for Making an Impact.”

    Alumnus and Computer Science Professor Publish Research at International Conference

    A recent graduate’s honors project combining cybersecurity and autonomous vehicles was published in the proceedings of a top international cyber-physical systems conference.

    Exhibition: Change Is a More Accurate Measure of Time Photographs by Mark Klett, SLU class of 1974

    - Richard F. Brush Art Gallery This exhibition is presented in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of Mark Klett’s graduation from St. Lawrence University in 1974. The show features 12 photographs from "El Camino del Diablo," a project based on a journey by a young mining engineer, Raphael Pumpelly, through Arizona and Mexico in 1861 on “the road of the devil.”

Brush Art Gallery This exhibition underscores the essential elements of the environment — water, air, earth — and their degradation caused by storms, fire, and drought often brought about by human pursuits. Photographs and videos on display reflect the relationship between the physical and metaphysical, serving as a spiritual, biophilic statement that highlights the environmental challenges that contemporary societies confront.
