    St. Lawrence University’s Board of Trustees has elected Lee Bailey, Class of 1974, and Joanie Byrne Hall, a Class of 2017 parent, as new term members as well as Christian Ehrhardt, Class of 2007, and Morgan (Pendergast) Baker, Class of 2008, as McCurdy-Sprague trustees.

  4. University Renames Building in Honor of Bill and Lynn Fox

    On May 20, the St. Lawrence University Board of Trustees unanimously approved a resolution to rename Madill Hall, now to be known on campus as Fox Hall, also the designated home of the Fox Center for Academic Opportunity. This recognition of President William L. Fox ’75 and Lynn Smith Fox honors their steadfast dedication to generations of students and the entire Laurentian community.

  5. ‘Shared Closet’ Concept Closes the Loop on Clothing Waste

    Close the Loop, a club dedicated to reducing textile waste on campus, started with Valeria Obregon Diaz ’24 and a couple of friends carrying some of their garments to the Student Center for a clothing swap. Two years later, it has more than 10 active members, manages the thrift store on campus, has hosted multiple clothing swaps, as well as sewing and mending workshops, and was named ‘Rookie of the Year’ at the student leadership awards ceremony.
