Marking the start of a new academic year, faculty, staff, and university personnel gathered to celebrate the contributions of all members of the St. Lawrence community. The University recognized faculty who earned tenure and promotions during the annual Convocation and honored several employees with awards for their outstanding service. The ceremony was held outside the Herring-Cole Grove in the Enchanted Forest on Wednesday, August 23.

Saints Celebrate Milestones, Earn WinsLegends of Appleton/Men’s Hockey Centennial: The Saints men’s hockey program celebrates its 100th Anniversary and the 2025 Legends Weekend on November 14-15. Join us in Canton as we honor the legacy of Saints hockey and induct Tom O'Connor '75 and Ray Shero '84 into the Legends of Appleton. Click here for more information. Men’s Soccer: Junior defender Baker Diaz earned All-Liberty League First Team honors. Seniors Ryan Campbell and Jeremy Ogango made the Second Team, and juniors Nicholas Petrone and Gustav Scheibler were named to the Third Team. The Saints placed sixth and qualified for the Liberty League tournament. Women’s Squash: First-year Eboni Atherley was named Liberty League Rookie of the Week after helping the Saints open their season with a 7-0 sweep over Chatham on the road. Women’s Soccer: Seniors Madison King-Thurber and Meredith Donahue earned All-Liberty League Second Team honors, while junior defender Chloe Bourque made the Third Team. Men’s Swimming and Diving: The Saints defeated Bard 100-40, taking first in every event entered. First-year Logan Doody won three events. Women’s Swimming and Diving: St. Lawrence rolled to a 148-31 win over Bard, sweeping all events at Augsbury Pool. Junior Gracie Ringer earned two first-place finishes. Football: Senior running-back William Murray scored twice as the Saints held off Buffalo State 24-19. Senior Will Lederman passed for 258 yards and a touchdown, while sophomore Cole Phelan caught four passes for 113 yards. Senior kicker Clayton Fogler was named Liberty League Special Teams Player of the Week. Women’s Hockey: Graduate student Alexa Davis scored the game-winner and senior Emma-Sofie Nordström made 45 saves in a 1-0 shutout win over Princeton.
