Class of 2020 Celebrated at Commencement
It was 442 days in the making, but members of St. Lawrence University’s Class of 2020 were finally able to come back together for the first time since March 2020 for their long-awaited commencement ceremony. More than 350 graduates returned to campus for the ceremony held on Sunday, August 1, in Newell Field House, with nearly 1,000 people in attendance.

Members of St. Lawrence’s Class of 2020 entered a rapidly-shifting world after graduating during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic in May 2020. Kayaking for ~Summer Research~ 🛶 🌱
Research isn’t always done in a lab. For University Fellow Peyton Robbins ’26, it’s done in a kayak. He’s working with Professor of Biology Brad Baldwin this summer to explore how invasive water chestnuts affect North Country ecosystems. The work may be serious, but the commentary? Not so much.
