    University Receives $1.5 Million Gift to Support Well-being and Honor Golf Coach

    Inspired by her passion to promote mental health and well-being on our campus, especially the emotional wellness of student-athletes, Jan Egbers P’21 is presenting St. Lawrence University with a $1.5 million gift, which will create an endowment to support St. Lawrence mental health and counseling services. The fund also honors retiring long-time Head Golf Coach Mary Lawrence by naming the position the Mary A. Lawrence Head Coach for Men's and Women's Golf.

    St. Lawrence Dedicates Building in Honor of Bill and Lynn Fox

    A space at the heart of St. Lawrence’s campus where students can access resources that support their success in the classroom now bears the name Fox Hall, home of the William L. Fox ’75 Center for Academic Opportunity.

    St. Lawrence Board of Trustees Elects New Members

    St. Lawrence University’s Board of Trustees has elected Kathleen Perkins Colson ’79 and Carolyn Davidow Putney ’88, P’22 as new term members. The trustees will serve for a period of six years beginning on June 1.

    - Brush Art Gallery The St. Lawrence University Richard F. Brush Art Gallery exhibition showcasing artwork created by Haudenosaunee (Iroquois), Canadian Inuit, and Peruvian artists is on display until Saturday, June 4.

    Saints Wrap Up Seasons; Earn Athletic and Academic Accolades

    After breaking program records and securing several podium finishes this year, Timothy Boyce '25 and Emma Palumbo '25 capped off their respective rookie seasons by securing 14th and 15th place finishes at the NCAA Track and Field Championship Meet. In recognition of her exemplary leadership on and off the field, Saints Women's Lacrosse Captain and ROTC Commander Abigail Eberle '22 was named a 2022 Yeardley Reynolds Love Unsung Hero Award recipient while Isabel Silvia '22 earned IQCLA Third-Team All-American honors, making her the 17th All-American in the history of the Saints Women's Lacrosse program. Five members of the men's lacrosse team were awarded USILA-Dynamic Division II All-American honors while Nicholas Butler '22 was named to All-Region 3 Third Team, and several Saints were named to the Academic All-District team for their academic and athletics achievements. For up-to-date schedules, news, and scores visit SaintsAthletics.com.

    Saints Riding Named Reserve Champs; Spring Sports Continue

    The riding team is headed to the IHSA Nationals after being named the Reserve Champions at the IHSA Zone II Finals on Saturday. Following the show, St. Lawrence University President Kathryn Morris presented the Saints with the Reserve Champion trophy. The wins for the Scarlet and Brown continued with Saints Softball defeating Union (7-6, 6-3) after dominating Wells (21-0, 25-0) and SUNY Plattsburgh (11-4) while Saints Baseball secured wins over RIT (6-5) and SUNY Canton (11-7). Men’s lacrosse defeated Skidmore 22-4 after topping SUNY Plattsburgh 25-5 and women’s lacrosse defeated Skidmore 21-13, Union 16-12, and SUNY Canton 20-11 while women’s tennis beat William Smith 7-2. For up-to-date schedules, news, and scores visit SaintsAthletics.com.

    Student Talent Takes the Stage

    St. Lawrence student talent was on full display during University Theatre's recent production of  "30 Plays from Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind (30 Neo-Futurist Plays in 60 Minutes)!” Each performance featured 60 small plays performed in random order and incorporating audience interaction, ensuring no performance was ever exactly the same.     Eduardo Puerta ’22 was awarded a “best speaker” prize for his presentation on his research exploring connections between knot theory and linear algebra at the Mathematics Contest and Competition of Northern New York (MCCNNY) on March 26.

    - Peterson-Kermani Performance Hall The St. Lawrence Writers Series welcomes Robin Hemley, the inaugural Viebranz Visiting Professor of Creative Writing. Registration is required for this in-person event.

    Rhythm and Roots Ensemble Concert

    - Launders Underground St. Lawrence University's Rhythm and Roots Ensemble will present an evening of songs in the style of 1950s Rhythm and Blues. The in-person event is free, open to the public, and available via live streaming.

    Track and Field Teams Secure Ice Broken Open Titles; Spring Sports Continue

    The Saints track and field teams are continuing a winning streak after securing team titles at Ice Broken Open on Saturday. The women's team won 12 events and the men's team won 9 events during the home meet against Castleton, Clarkson, Herkimer, NVU-Johnson, Plattsburgh, and Potsdam. The weekend wins continued with the men’s and women’s tennis teams each dominating Bard 9-0 while men’s lacrosse defeated Ithaca 14-10 and women’s lacrosse beat Bard 20-8. Baseball defeated Ithaca 6-2 after beating SUNY Poly 2-0 last week while Esports advanced to the Elite 8 in the Teemo Cup after securing a 2-0 win over Milligan University. After winning its 11th-straight Regional Championship,  four members of Saints riding will advance to Zones on April 9. Eleven skiers from the Alpine and Nordic ski teams were honored by the United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association (USCSCA) for having earned National Collegiate All-Academic Ski Team honors for the 2022 season while six members of the men's and women's track and field teams earned all-region honors for the indoor season, as announced by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. For up-to-date schedules, news, and scores visit SaintsAthletics.com.
